Praises

What a fabulous, full year this has been for our family and Petra ministries! God has lovingly shown Himself mighty over and over again.

Since I updated this last, we have hosted at least two hundred people here at Petra from all walks of life, and from all over the world. This mission is a privilege to be a part of, and this life is a full, and exiting one!

Thanksgiving ‘14 here at Petra for the missionaries and expats in Pucallpa!

My mother is here again for an extended stay! She is such a blessing to me. She got here in time to join us for our first visit to the orphanage. My seat on the plane over to Lima to pick her up was right next to the director of the orphanage, and after we got to talking about her job, and what we do here, she invited us to come visit the children! The orphanage has been a closed door to us in the past due to other very strict directors, but it is now a wide open opportunity! I only wish that we lived closer. We left our hearts with those precious children. They just soak up all of the love and attention that they can get!

The Petra Pool is completed and has completely changed our ministry and our lives! It was so much more work to build than we ever imagined that it would be, but it has also given us so much more. There are already two families in church because of the pool! It’s an amazing draw for everyone; friends and strangers, the unsaved and saints, Indians and missionaries alike. The Petra pool is a new way for us to serve and great way to bring people to us. I have been exercising in the pool every morning since it was filled, and it has given me my life back! Of course combined with the medication and supplements it has made a tremendous difference in my life. I feel like I’m almost back to normal, although I still have to take care not to over-do, and still need a nap most days. After exactly a two year long “episode” and being severely limited for nine years, I’m back! Praise God for His mercy!

Vann has started to build the second story walls on the house, and has a carpenter here in our shop building all of the windows and doors! The Dumitru’s have put the roof on their house already, and we are working on running electricity out to their house and all the way back to the camp! We are pleased with progress being made here however slow it may seem. Everything is in God’s time, and control. This is His mission, and we are honored to hang on to His coattails for the ride!

We are so very blessed by each and every one of you who pray for us, write to us, call us and support us! You are so very dear to our hearts, and we would feel so lost without you. May God bless you as you begin this coming year holding on to God’s coattails with us!
